So you sit down at your local coffee shop for some java and a read of the morning paper. 

Talking on the phone next to you is a person of interest...you over hear him talk about Enlgand's failure to reach the Euro's.  The topic peaks your interest and when he gets off the phone you start in with a few comments and questions to get the conversation going. 

I'm a grumpy and miserable curmudgeon.  It's always difficult to meet other guys without coming off gay (not that there is anything wrong with it) so any chance that comes along to meet someone interesting... I take and what a phucking mistake. 

The first 10 minutes go off without a hitch.  We talk football, dogs, we talk about the UK...it was bliss.  The 2 of us laughing...but then he started in about his acting.  His auditions...the different characters he plays, or can play.  The difficulties of being a struggling actor and former model...his apartment in Tokyo. 

Thankfully, about an hour later, he had to go on an audition, I was safe...at least for the day. 

Sure enough, he was there the next day.  And even though I had my headphones on and newspaper in hand, he someone found a way to plop himself right the phuck in front of me and once again started in with himself and his career.  Now don't get me wrong, I don't mind people talking about themselves, I'm boring as phuck, so please entertain me and tell me grand stories of your worldly adventures...but take a breath in between. 

Is it any wonder everyone is listening to Ipods these days?  What's the alternative?
