A jury in a Los Angeles suburb has cleared two doctors -- a cardiologist and a radiologist -- of negligence in the death of actor John Ritter.

Jurors found that Ritter had been advised by the radiologist, who had completed a body scan on him two years earlier, to follow-up with treatment by a physician, but Ritter didn't follow the order. Ritter died in 2003 of a torn aorta.

The $67 million lawsuit was brought by Ritter's widow, actress Amy Yasbeck, and his children.

Good.  While the death of John Ritter was very sad and a huge loss, WTF is his Amy suing the doctors for?  and why for 64 million?  She doesn't need the money..it won't bring John back...malpractice suits go up, lawyers just got paid... and now my health insurance is going to go up..to pay for the increase in malpractice insurance.  Thanx  Amy.  

Is there any wonder why health insurance costs so much in this country?  Sure, it's because the US is responsible for researching, discovering and distributing 80% of the world's medicine, but it's also because of countless screw ups by doctors, hospitals, hypochondriacs and $64 million dollar law suits.
