So by now we all know that this an adaptation of Pete Seeger's music. Pete's some folk singer... and over the last 10 years Bruce has been putting together some arrangements, musicians, having some backyard bb-ques.. all while recording this great album. it's pretty much a live album, recorded as they played, no rehearsals, nothing.

With the condensed album notes out of the way, let's just say this is a great album and a lot of fun to dance around to. Bruce is at an age where he doesn't care about being a top of the world anymore.. leave that to Bono... Bruce just wants to put out what he wants, his fans respect him for it and the label has no choice but to accept it.

If you like Bruce, you'll like this album. If you don't like Bruce, burn in hell. Basically it's a 180 degree turn from anything you've heard of his before but it's not really... If you've followed him through the years, you'll get this album. Artie and Gary (BabaBooey or Fla Fla Floo Fli) from The Stern Show, have commented that Bruce, with his latest 'jug band' is 'daring you to not see him' But come on... it's Springsteen. The stories will still be there, and who wouldn't want to hear Born to Run on Washboard... But seriously guys, it's a fun album. And lyrically, it's Bruce all the way.

Bruce has given us some different music on this album, he's introduced us a new sound giving us and him another new start.
