The Bends
A few years back in 1997 Radiohead came out with OK Computer. It was around the same time as The Prodigy's, "Fat of the Land." hit stores. I remember back in the day, whenever I thought of Foreigner, I'd think of Journey.

Toto, Kansas, Styx...you know they are all the same band...

I thought the same concept applied a few years back with Radiohead and The Prodigy. For me, the title "OK Computer" implied digital sound and some sort of dance techno that I wasn't ready for. I ignored Radiohead.

Two years ago, a friend of mine gave me "The Bends" I listened to it and enjoyed the standard, "Hi and Dry" & "Fake Plastic Trees" Since then I have listened to the entire album time and again. No mortal can withstand Thom Yorke's voice.

Notable tracks on this album are "Bullet Proof" and "Nice Dream" and of course the title track rocks. The whole fucking album truly twists you up. It's wonderful. It's taken a full two years of dissecting this album to be able to write about it. I can only wonder what's in store when I listen to OK Computer. It's a definite favorite with friends and at get togethers. Thom's vocals are angelic and tender after a few bowls you may even be reduced to tears.
