Movie Review

Blair Witch meets Close Encounters... If you're somebody who gets squirmy watching alien type flicks, then sure you'll love this movie.

The Fourth Kind is an upcoming science fiction/thriller/horror film directed by Olatunde Osunsanmi, and starring Milla Jovovich. The film is purported to be a documentary reenactment set in Nome, Alaska, and deals with alien abductions. The title is derived from J. Allen Hynek's classification of close encounters with aliens, in which the fourth kind denotes an alien abduction.  source

Ok, so now you know the premise... Mila Jovovich is an outstanding actor, she portrays Dr. Abigail Tyler, who has spent the last few years of her life trying to figure out what happened to her husband blah blah.  Let me tell you, the opening scene of Dr. Tyler's face will scare you more than the entire movie itself.  The movie splices bits from real archival footage, and it's phucking freaky.  Ultimately, as Mila tells you at the beginning of the movie, what you decide to believe is entirely up to you.  And trust me, if you want to sleep at night, then you'll chose to believe this movie is total fiction.  Can you imagine what it must be like to be abducted by aliens or to believe you have been?  The movie shows enough archived footage to really make you wonder and question, "what if".   Bring a date.
