Michael Moore, he's too liberal, such a propagandist, myeah myeah, bitch bitch. Even Fox News praised this one, so let it go, this is some shit you should watch. Oh, and it's entertaining too.

This one's about the American healthcare system, and Moore mentioned before the flick's release that he put this one together on the assumption that the audience already knew it was phucked and then worked from there, so nothing in this one should shock you too much (besides how well some other countries take care of their own, almost as if they're... human beings).

Yes, there's a segment in which he mentions some good things Castro has done without mentioning any of the horrific ones. Yes, there's a quick glimpse of his ridiculous merry-children-flying-a-kite shot that was used in that much more controversial film he made that tried to convince us what a happy little place Iraq was before Saddam was removed.

On the whole though, this is far from some liberal propagandist piece, maybe not even a political film at all. "SiCKO" is just a plain statement, one of gathered facts and personal accounts, that may enlighten you to what an absolute moron you should feel like if you really back the simplistic "love it or leave it" approach to our country.

There's shit wrong here, my children, and showing that you love someone does include pointing out and doing all you can to help them with a problem, ESPECIALLY if it involves their health -- the same should go for a country.

It's rare that I go out on a personal limb, but since this one's a documentary and everyone who decides they're conservative or liberal before even hearing about a subject seems to like questioning the credibility of any doc that may point a pinky at their political party, I'll say right now that I can give a first-hand "yep, that happens" on the movie's segment in which hospital patients are dumped in the filth of LA's Skid Row if they can't pay a bill.

Yes, Skid Row has more services for the homeless (people who can't pay) than most places, the exact reason hospitals rationalize leaving them there.

It's also a cesspool of crack, heroin, infectious disease, rape, beatings, and, oh, murders that don't always exactly make the front page, and it's where you get dumped in the City of Angels if you're short on dough and are too blitzed on morphine or whatever to give an exact address when they say "All right, we're done with this doctor shit, pay me or we're taking you somewhere else."

If you're still thinking this may just be yet another Michael Moore go-go-democratic-party piece, here's a spoiler -- Hillary Clinton is built up and praised for her efforts to bring us universal healthcare back when her hubby took office, but then she's shot down like every other politician who's been paid off by the system to shut up. No prisoners are taken here, and none should be. Health is kind of important.
