Be warned. The first 15 minutes of this movie rock like NO OTHER. As for the rest of the movie, well... let's just say that 15 minutes don't mean shit by the end of this pile of indie crap.

It's about Napolean Dynamite, a character name that gives away the over-the-top brand of humor you're in for, BUUUUT... somewhere down the line, the over-the-top humor about a weirdo nerd in a weirdo town full of weirdos actually tries for those clever little Rushmore-esque moments that made even "Rushmore" itself look like it was trying too hard sometimes.

"Napolean Dynamite" comes at you like a train of laughter and then suddenly demands that you hop aboard the train and give a shit about the people on it instead of organically grow to like them through the laughter they were causing just a moment ago... a while ago... an hour ago...

Soon, it becomes easy to daydream about other things... "Gee, I am in a multiplex... I'll bet shit's blowing up over in "I, Robot..." "Hey, that Susie Jane at school is pretty hot... Maybe I should jerk off to her when I go home..." "Gosh, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are cool... They, like, remind you of being a kid... Maybe that's why they're so good when I smoke pot and feel like a playful retard again who wants the simple things out of life..."

Eventually though, something snaps you back into the movie long enough to make you go "Oh yeah... I'm in a movie theater watching 'Napolean Dynamite,' that cute new indie flick that everyone has been talking about... Hmm... Must've been because of those first 15... Damn, my ticket was 8 dollars, huh?... Damn."
