You give it one last chance. You never want to live with the question, "What if?" So you try one more big Hollywood ending hoping to recapture some of that movie magic...

As the music blares from your radio, her dog runs out and bites you in the ass, and the neighbors call the cops...

What happened? You tried some hollywood love stunt thinking you'll win her back. Problem is, she never saw that movie.

One of my many failed accomplishments includes getting engaged 2 weeks after meeting her. Passion was high, cares were free - I was in love. She dumped me. I was still in love. She still dumped me.

Blind fits of confusion led me to believe that making her a tape of romantic songs and dropping some really great "You Had Me At Hello" desperation lines would make her suddenly realize that, she can't live without me.

After all, who would make her those great tapes? Tapes... (it was years ago alright..)

We seem to think that giving it that, "final go"... will resolve something. It resolves that you're an idiot, nothing more.

It's as if we think by making some grand exit we can put to rest the inevitable question, "what if?"

What if I told her one last time how I felt, what if I showed her, what if I wrote it in a poem... BARF.

She knows how you feel and that's why she's breaking up with you. You're getting too close, too serious and way too dependant for her.
