Perhaps you meet her at work, maybe she just moved in next door or you visit the same grocery store - whatever or wherever, you know one thing, she makes you feel good when you see her or talk to her. She puts a smile on your face. All these feelings are new, they're infantile. So enjoy them.

Maybe you're 30 and bitter - maybe 20, maybe 45 - whatever the age, you've been 'burnt' enough to be skeptical of relationships. You've heard all of the promises and no doubt you've made a few yourself. You're tired. You don't want to go through the same questions ...again.. 'So, how many brothers do you have?' 'What's your favorite color?' You want to skip through all of that and get to the heart of the matter.

Before you do, ask yourself why? Why the rush?! Sure you've been around the block a time or two but the end is not as fun as the start, so don't dive into it right away. Don't be so quick to rush past the little details of getting to know someone. We all know that eventually one of you will want to kill the other, so why not take your time and let it unfold naturally. Enjoy the moment and try as hell not to get all wrapped up in 'the future.'

Now what is, 'naturally?' Naturally means - letting her decide the pace. If you made plans for a certain night, but she gets sick and has to cancel, don't pout. Ask her if there's anything you can do for her then wish her a speedy recovery.

A girl can sense 'disappointment.' Now by 'disappointed' I mean, a 'pouting baby.' Pull yourself together. Be a man and show no signs of weakness. AT FIRST.

Once you get further along you can show her a more sensitive side - but keep it hidden for the first few months. If you're a good person, it will come out in the way you speak and act around her. You don't have to tell her how much you like - she knows. You don't have to keep telling her how much you like going out with her. She knows. She knows all of this because you're standing right in front of her. But she won't be for long if you keep acting insecure.

When you are on your date, the only thing you need to worry about is keeping the conversation going. Keep her laughing. Then, when she's not looking...

But really, don't creep her out. You don't know her, she doesn't know you. Just because you are comfortable with yourself, it doesn't mean she is. Give her the time to get to know you. If she's a decent girl, you needn't worry about 'other guys' she's interested in you, so don't give her any reasons not to be.

It's tough as hell sometimes to give them their space - but before you pick up the phone for the 10th time that day about to dial her number.. stop - collaborate and listen.. Ice is here with my brand new invention...

Get a book, play video games, go for long walks do anything to keep your mind off of calling her. Now there's the odd few of you that need a further explanation. By 'not calling her' I mean, 'don't stalk her.'
