Why Are Men Assholes ? My initial response was - If I knew the definitive answer, I'd be pretty damn rich.

Upon further serious thought of this question...and a few more bowls, I realized the answer...

It's not that men are 'assholes' or that women are 'bitches,' it's our unrealistic ideals and expectations that make us believe they are.

So figure, this email comes from a girl who's allegedly 13 years old - she's just entering high school, boy's nut sacks are dropping and suddenly all the stories and fairy tales about Prince Charming mommy used to read are lies. You discover that boys lie and cheat. You learn your girlfriends are catty and back stabbing.

Of course it's not all like this. Among the liars and cheats you'll find a few good people. They wouldn't be good people if there weren't 'bad' people. Good people wouldn't be so 'unique' if there weren't as many assholes around.

Realize that everyone has a part to play in your life.

So back to assholes - We pretty much know from books, movies, songs, comedians, philosophers and doctors that men have certain short comings. Again, they are only 'short comings' because women want and need more. Basically, we fall short of their expectations. And expectations is where 'men become assholes.'

When we expect a certain outcome and we don't get it, we're disappointed. So when men do something that you don't like, we become assholes.

Expect your man to cheat on you. Expect him to lie. But also expect the best for yourself. So if you're not getting what you deserve, who's really the asshole?
