So unfortunately guys at your age will continue to like the 'popular' girl. Or the girl that puts out. (They're usually the same person). But being popular for being a whore isn't the way to go. It may seem so at the time - but when you're picking off crusty scabs from your privates, you won't think popularity is that cool after all.

Sadly, your self image issues won't change that much as you get older. As humans, we generally tend to focus on the things we don't like about ourselves... so figure it out before you start wolfing down diet pills or purging your tacos.

Regarding people making fun of you because of your ethnicity.. wait, did you say you were Mexican? Well how did you get access to a computer...

But seriously, don't act like a white person - just act like yourself. Deep down you know what's right and what's wrong, so go with your gut. Don't forget that pretty much EVERYONE is fake in high school. Everyone's trying to figure out who they are and everyone's trying to impress someone else. So maybe the best thing you can do is the opposite of everyone else.

So if you see a guy you like, find a common interest, or bump into him in the hallway.. something to strike up a small conversation. Try and say something witty, then walk away. Always walk away after you say something clever or funny. Most people mess up by lingering around trying to 'top' their last remark.. you know, trying to keep the laughter going.. but it's hard to do, so leave him hanging. Perk his curiosity. But never extend your stay. Leave him wanting more.

So remember, if you're feeling awkward on any given day, the guy or girl next to you is feeling the same way. They're just hiding it better.
