So What's It Going To Be?

I went on a blind date when I was about 19 years old.. the chick with whom I was set up started in about all the friendship bracelets I wore..and all the gummy bracelets and various bangles... that ensconced my arms... then of course there were the tie-dye shirts and my quadruple pierced ears..

I looked like a phucking glow stick with ornaments hanging off of and out of every orifice.

In this day and age, less is more. In fact, it's always been, less is more. So then why do we still see 'those' people with all of their flare.

Could it be that they have no friends? No mirror?

Whatever the excuse, surly they can feel the weight and hear the annoying jingling of all their costume jewelry? Or maybe they can't hear or see because they have their really trend cap covering their ears and their ultra slick sunglasses blocking their view.

What exactly are you trying to cover up? Or maybe you want to look like Britney? Um, Britney is a performer, an eccentric icon if you will, you're not. So why are you trying to look like one?

Perhaps you should pick one item and go with it.. make it your theme for the day. Today is trucker day.. so wear your cool trucker hat... and I know, wear it crooked; that'll really trip people out.

Tuesday can be, J-Lo or Shakira day.. that's when you get to wear your $5 knock offs. Wednesday - why ripped jeans and patches day of course...

So pace yourself. You have seven days to dazzle us with your inventive costuming. Oh, and as for your perfume or cologne, Monday. This way by the time Friday comes around, your stench will start to calm down.

Don't clutter yourself up with junk. Wear simple pieces that don't overwhelm the eye. You're not on stage.. yes, yes, I know the whole world is a stage.. fine but you're not any closer to your idol just because you're dressing like them... unless your idol happens to be Clay Aiken.
