What makes a guy seem desperate for a date... Insecurity. That said, most guys will seem desperate for anything that involves, women and sex.

Sure, eventually we want to settle down and be taken care of.. but we're not there yet - we're talking dating. Dating is a mark of manhood. (Yes, yes, or womanhood.) So when we see all of our friends getting lucky, we feel the need to do the same, so we hunt and prowl until we find our match. And if we don't find a date, we feel like a pariah. We feel like we're missing out on something, and we are.

Because women are mostly in control of the entire dating scene, guys will always seem desperate. We feel that there is always someone out there that will give you something better.

So perhaps if your man is desperate, you need to reassure him that you're not interested in anyone else... yet. (Leave out the, "yet" part)
