HOUSTON — A jury sentenced Clara Harris to 20 years in prison Friday for mowing down her unfaithful husband with her Mercedes, rejecting defense arguments that she deserved no more than probation for her crime of "sudden passion."

On the eve of her wedding anniversary, dentist Clara Harris was told to remove her wedding band so she could be taken into custody after her murder conviction for mowing down her cheating husband.

A composed and often-smiling Clara Harris described a marriage that was a solid, loving relationship until David Harris began changing last spring.

"We were best friends," Clara Harris said Wednesday. "We were very much in love."

She said she and her husband were "mature people" who had each survived divorce, adding: "We felt like there was no better couple than us."

The 10-year marriage ended July 24 in the parking lot of a suburban Houston hotel, when she allegedly ran him down with her Mercedes-Benz. Harris is charged with murder for the death of her 44-year-old orthodontist husband....

She told jurors she wanted to save her 10-year marriage after learning of the affair. She said she quit her job, had sex with her husband three times a night, cooked his favorite meals and hired a personal trainer.

She testified she even went to a tanning salon and scheduled liposuction and breast enhancement surgery to make him happy, only to catch him in a tryst with Bridges at the same hotel where the Harrises were married on Valentine's Day 1992.

Even after pushing out a few kid's, making breakfast, lunch and dinner for your sorry ass you still expect your woman to be the hot sexy bitch she was ten years, 48 stretch marks and 3 kids later? Fuck you.

She has given up her body to perpetuate your family name, don't throw it in her face by screwing your secretary? How obvious is that? At the very least, pay for a whore and let your wife keep her dignity. She'll keep her dignity long after your dick falls off from some rampant sexual disease.

So ladies, take it all with a grain of salt. Your husband is not perfect. He simply loves women. Whether he runs around having elaborate affairs is of course something completely different.

If he is having an affair; a mental and physical relationship with another woman -liposuction, breast enhancement and personal trainers won't help. Killing him certainly won't...
