The Olympics start today.  I think.  I mean, I wouldn’t know because #NBC has decided not to air the opening ceremonies live.  Instead, I get to watch a f8cking re-run of the Ellen show.  If I get bored of that, Nate Berkus is on after… I get the whole adverting dollar crap, but once every 4 years, why not open up the channel and show all Olympic events in real time.  These athletes have dedicated themselves to being the best in the world, least NBC could do is allow people to cheer them on.  It’s really stupid.  So I now have to count on my fingers and toes, the time difference and figure out if what I am watching is happening now or if it’s a replay.  Then of course there’s going to be a flood of commercials that will basically beat out any Olympic spirit I have left.
